The Tennessee Titans have listed Jake Locker as questionable for this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, but that optimism seems to be misleading. Jim Wyatt, the Titans beat reporter for The Tennessean, believes the quarterback is closer to doubtful and doesn’t expect him to be active for the game.
If Locker, who is suffering from a sprained throwing wrist, is indeed sidelined, Charlie Whitehurst will make just the fifth start of his nine-year career. The veteran backup hasn’t thrown a pass in a regular-season game since 2011.
The rest of the running back depth chart isn’t looking so hot. Jonathan Stewart, Williams’s oft-injured running mate, went down with a severely sprained knee last week and looks as though he’ll miss multiple games. Fullback and short-yardage specialist Mike Tolbert was placed on injured reserve/designated to return, so he’ll be gone until at least Week 13. No. 3 running back Fozzy Whittaker was inactive last Sunday with a thigh injury and hasn’t practiced yet this week.
That leaves just Williams and recent practice squad promotion Darrin Reaves as the only healthy options on the roster. Desperate for bodies, the Panthers worked out former Cleveland Brown Chris Ogbonnaya this week, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
That is exciting. And since I’ve been here, I’ve seen Jay do nothing but invest on and off the football field. He invests quietly. He is very generous but quietly generous. He is emotionally invested not just in the football side but also in the development of his teammates. And in the organization. He has done things for this organization that no one sees.”
The tradition became so famous that the league grandfathered it in after implementing rules restricting touchdown celebrations. Just this year, the Packers honored the Lambeau Leap with a statue.
Eric Reid Elite Jersey Four quarters of football do not, of course, erase all that Beckham has achieved over the past three years, but one bad postseason appearance does stick out on a resume filled with other red flags. Beckham has allowed his emotions to get the best of him in multiple contests against a variety of opponents. While he¡¯s no more a ¡°diva¡± than any other top-tier wide receiver in the NFL today, he nevertheless has that reputation and personality.

It wasn¡¯t all that long ago certain individuals were suggesting the Giants should trade Beckham. James Parks of 247Sports.com wrote such things, Fox Sports personality Colin Cowherd made his feelings known on the subject last June. Jason McIntyre of The Big Lead wrote last January that the Giants trading Beckham ¡°isn¡¯t crazy¡± considering the noticeable holes on the club¡¯s roster.
It should be pointed out, there is little chance, if any at all, the Giants will trade Beckham while he is in his physical prime. Regardless of whatever antics he gets into, he has no history of legal problems that prevent him from featuring in an NFL starting lineup. It¡¯s nearly certain the Giants wouldn¡¯t receive equal value in any transaction that included Beckham unless the team somehow acquired a young franchise quarterback such as Andrew Luck (which isn¡¯t happening).
And the reality is, while Peterson still led the league in rushing at age 30 in 2015, for an NFL running back the difference between 30 and 32 is huge. There have been 25 running backs in NFL history who gained at least 1,000 yards at age 30. Only two of them, Walter Payton and Emmitt Smith, also gained at least 1,000 yards at age 32. And neither Payton nor Smith suffered a serious knee injury at age 31, as Peterson did.
A few thoughts on Raquel¡¯s role in this family. They say she¡¯s a part of the family, but she pours them wine and does the dishes and generally seems more like a servant than anything else. I get that they¡¯re close with her, and they call her Corinne¡¯s ¡°second mom,¡± but I can¡¯t help feeling like the show has made her into a caricature of herself. A joke rather than a person. I don¡¯t love that.
Elite Womens Patrick Maroon Jersey Obviously she takes him shopping. She¡¯s friends with all the people who work in the stores they go to, all of which are very fancy. Corinne spends the equivalent of a used car on clothing for the both of them. Los Angeles selected Brandon Ingram with the second pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. Ingram was the latest addition of a Lakers youth movement that included guards D¡¯Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson, and forwards Julius Randle and Larry Nance, Jr.
Elite Cam Newton Jersey The Lakers also signed big man Timofey Mozgov to a multi-year deal over the summer and hired ex-Warriors lead assistant Luke Walton as head coach.
A 12-time NBA All-Star, Johnson spent 13 seasons with the Lakers, guiding them to five NBA titles, including back-to-back championships from 1987-88. He was the magician floor general of the great Showtime Lakers teams that also featured NBA greats Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, James Worthy and Michael Cooper.
Johnson is the NBA¡¯s all-time leader in assists per game and boasts career averages of 19.5 points, 11.2 assists, 7.6 rebounds and 1.9 steals.

Super Bowl XLIX is the biggest sporting event of the year, and it’s also the biggest gambling day on the calendar. You can bet on just about any aspect of this game, and perhaps no prop bet represents that more than the one focused on Bill Belichick’s hoodie.
Yes, you can not only bet on what color hoodie the future Hall of Fame coach will wear, but what type of hooded sweatshirt it will be. Belichick is known for his smug attitude towards the media, rarely smiling and almost always wearing some kind of hoodie along the Patriots’ sideline on game day.
His 36.3 points per game on the season ranks third in the league, behind undrafted Errick McCollum and former Providence player MarShon Brooks. He’s shooting 41 percent from deep and 93 percent from the free throw line. That’s some crazy efficiency, albeit in a less competitive league.
Fans chant “Jimo†in China, which is the closest word to Jimmer in Mandarin, according to Yahoo Sports. It translates to mean loneliness, though he’s been assured that the fans are speaking highly of him as a “loneliness God,†meaning he stands so highly that he has no enemies.
Fredette, still just 27 years old, will be a candidate to sign with an NBA team once his CBA season ends, though he’s had a rough time sticking around the league. After his rookie season he never played more than 14 minutes per game, and spent last season playing in just six games for the New Orleans Pelicans and New York Knicks.
Alex Rodriguez and Nick Swisher are joining the guest instructors at New York Yankees’ spring training.
Both are on the list released by the team Tuesday when New York pitchers and catchers reported for spring training.
A-Rod and Swisher were both instructors with the Yankees’ instructional league team in the fall. This is the first time they’ll be in the coaching role at spring training.
The pair joins holdovers that include Goose Gossage, Reggie Jackson, Hideki Matsui, Ron Guidry, Willie Randolph, Stump Merrill and Lee Mazzilli.

The Nationals are as star-laden as any team in baseball, with Cy Young winner Max Scherzer, 2015 MVP Bryce Harper, 2016 MVP runner-up Daniel Murphy, potential ace Stephen Strasburg and budding superstar Trea Turner. They acquired Adam Eaton from the White Sox, and the advanced metrics suggest he’s one of the best all-around players in the game.
They have two potential young stars in Rougned Odor and Nomar Mazara who need to improve. They have a strong bullpen and a full season from Jonathan Lucroy behind the plate. They’ve spent seven seasons on the cusp of glory. Maybe it’s their time.
The Nationals are a franchise with a complicated history, starting life as the Montreal Expos and moving to Washington in 2005. The city was home to two versions of the Washington Senators from 1901 to 1971 — the first one became the Twins, the second one became the Rangers — but the lone championship came way back in 1924.
Authentic Womens Frank Zombo Jersey The Nationals have lost in the first round of the playoffs three times in the past five seasons, and their manager is Dusty Baker, at 67 the oldest manager in the game and a star-crossed skipper who always seems to make a crucial blunder in October. He has made the playoffs eight times; no other manager has been to the postseason that often and not won a World Series.
In the buildup to the Los Angeles Chargers introducing him as head coach last month, Anthony Lynn was described by some as a players’ coach.
And while forming tight bonds is a necessary part of creating a winning culture, Lynn says his Chargers will not be close and cuddly — standing in a circle, holding hands and singing “Kumbaya” — when he gets his first opportunity to work with players in April.
“I would never call myself a players’ coach,” Lynn said during a recent interview with ESPN.com. “But I think the real players, they crave the discipline. They crave the accountability, and that’s what I’m going to hold you to.
During an appearance Tuesday on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, Cardinals president Michael Bidwill supported Arians’ previous statement that the team will franchise Jones. The question now becomes, if a deal isn’t reached, when. Teams have until 4 p.m. ET on March 1 to issue franchise tags, giving Arizona and Jones’ camp exactly two weeks to come to a deal. If not, the Cardinals could end up paying Jones almost twice his $7.79 million salary from 2016.
According to ESPN NFL Insider John Clayton, the franchise tag for linebackers, based on a $168 million salary cap, will be $15,287,383 — which would equal the third-highest per-year salary of any 3-4 outside linebacker in the league.
However, one distinct possibility is Jones could be franchised within the next two weeks and then the two sides could reach a deal, lifting the tag and replacing it with a long-term contract.
Come Wednesday, the clock on Jones’ future with the Cardinals begins.
Safety Rodney Harrison intercepted a Donovan McNabb pass at the Patriots’ 4-yard line to terminate an early Eagles scoring threat. True, the play occurred in the first quarter. But Harrison probably saved at least a field goal in a game that was ultimately decided by three points.
Tied 7-7 early in the third quarter, the Patriots faced third-and-10 from the Eagles’ 38-yard line. They were well out of comfortable field goal range. That’s what made Brady’s 15-yard pass to Deion Branch so important. It converted a first down and set up the Patriots’ first lead of the game, a 2-yard touchdown pass to Mike Vrabel. The Patriots did not trail the rest of the game.
Uh… well, Cody Kessler showed some things, I guess. And Robert Griffin III is technically still there, so the Browns could bring back the same crew from last year. But come on. Cleveland is on the hunt for something real and sustainable at quarterback. The Browns didn’t think Wentz was it. Once again, they have the picks (No. 1 and No. 12 overall in April’s draft) to find it. Will they get it right this time?
Because the present is depressing, that’s why. At least under Lovie Smith the Bears used to make the playoffs on a semi-frequent basis (three times in nine years). That may not seem like much, but the four other Bears head coaches in the post-Mike Ditka era (Dave Wannstedt, Dick Jauron, Marc Trestman and John Fox) have only two combined playoff berths in 15 years. Under Ditka, the Bears reached the postseason in seven of eight seasons from 1984 to 1991, and won Super Bowl XX. No wonder Chicago football fans live in the past.
With 9:40 to go in the fourth quarter, the Falcons held a one-score lead over the Patriots. Up eight points, they chose not to run the ball. Instead, Ryan left the pocket and found Jones for an acrobatic reception over Patriots defender Eric Rowe, toe-tapping the sideline to stay in bounds.
It put Atlanta at the 22-yard line and in position to take a two-possession lead with a field goal. It was an incredible catch, thrown where Julio — and only Julio — could get it if he used every bit of his large frame.
Freeman gets stuffed for a 1-yard loss on first down. Instead of doing the sensible thing and giving it back to Freeman, who had a lot more success than failures in the game, Shanahan called a pass play.
And then Ryan made the terrible mistake of holding on to the ball for too long. Instead of throwing it away, Ryan took a 12-yard loss.
White, Edelman, and Mitchell are homegrown success stories, but were drafted in the fourth, seventh, and fourth rounds, respectively. Amendola and Hogan both went undrafted, then were signed away from the teams with which they broke into the league by a shrewd Patriots front office. Martellus Bennett is the only player among that group to have been selected during the first two days of the NFL draft (current format), but a lackluster 2015 season in Chicago pushed his acquisition cost (alongside a Bears sixth-round pick) down to a fourth-round pick via trade.
Whether other users followed his message or not, it was heard. As an athlete on a Super Bowl winning team, it gets magnified even just a little bit more because of it.
But as he said himself, he’s more than just that.
The minute the Atlanta Falcons coach realized last offseason how plucking Pro Bowl center Alex Mack from Cleveland was a distinct possibility, the hyper side came out of him. And it took the close relationship Quinn established with general manager Thomas Dimitroff to help calm him down.
“I was more like, ‘How can we do it? How can we do it?'” Quinn recalled. “Thomas, he’s more of a thinker. He was like, ‘Yeah, we could.’ And that’s why I probably drive him crazy sometimes with my [attention deficit disorder], because then I’m like, ‘What about him, and him, and him? Can we do that too?'”
Quinn didn’t have to be greedy in order to build a Super Bowl roster in just two seasons. He couldn’t do it alone, however, which is why working with Dimitroff has been such a vital element to the Falcons’ sudden success. Now Quinn and Dimitroff have the Falcons in position to win a Super Bowl title Sunday against New England, a franchise Dimitroff won back-to-back Super Bowls with as the director of college scouting.
Some folks wondered aloud why Falcons owner Arthur Blank parted ways with former coach Mike Smith after the 2014 season yet kept Dimitroff, who hit home runs on quarterback Matt Ryan (2008 draft) and receiver Julio Jones (2011), but had an extinct 2012 draft class and a few noticeable whiffs in free agency. Then Quinn took over and was given control of the 53-man roster, with Dimitroff designated for responsibilities more related to the financial ramifications of building the roster.
Tom Brady is currently tied with Joe Montana for the most Super Bowl MVP awards of all time as both quarterbacks have earned three. Brady will have the chance to take sole possession of first place if he is able to lead the New England Patriots to a win in Super Bowl LI.
Brady is a +120 favorite on the odds to win the Super Bowl MVP award at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The star quarterback has enjoyed an incredible season even by his own lofty standards, recording 28 touchdown passes and two interceptions in a suspension-shortened regular season and 384 yards and three touchdowns in New England’s 36-17 win over Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship.
Seven of the last 10 Super Bowl MVP awards have gone to quarterbacks, and 27 of the 50 all time have, as well. This makes Matt Ryan a logical choice at +200 to win the Super Bowl MVP award if the Atlanta Falcons are able to come out on top.
Jones is one of the best receivers in the NFL, and if he has a dominant performance, he could become the first wide receiver since Santonio Holmes in Super Bowl XLIII to take home the award.
Other potential winners include Logan Ryan (NE) at +1000, Devonta Freeman (ATL) at +2500, Julian Edelman (NE) at +2500, LeGarrette Blount (NE) at +2500, Chris Hogan (NE) at +2500, Dion Lewis (NE) at +3300, and Mohamed Sanu (ATL) at +4000.
Blount could be a good option for value hunters on the Super Bowl LI MVP odds. The Patriots back has four multi-touchdown games this season and could end up with the award if he were to earn the majority of New England’s scores in a win.
